I purchased a second box and used two lower trays from that and will use the remaining trays for touch-ups as needed. The trick that worked for me was to put the lower trays in and hold them in place with 2 fingers.

It's annoying but was the only way that worked for me. I put the upper tray in for 30 minutes, took it out and rinsed, and then repeated the process with the lower tray.

I never put both trays in at once because I use tissues to get rid of any access saliva while I'm whitening. This also helps avoid swallowing any of the gel!

I found that the upper trays stayed on perfectly without any problems. Other than the issue of slippage (which I can't blame on the product since they slipped due to saliva), I love this product.

Also, if your gums happen to turn white (which happened to me once), they'll go back to normal in about 30 minutes.
