I've never used more than three days' worth in a row, because I get to a great level of whitening by then. I really really love that there's enough goop to get between your teeth - nothing worse than having bright-white tooth fronts contrasting with dingy in-between spaces.
Tooth gel will pretty mucn always be snotty as one reviewer so delicately put it, and as for not being able to talk around them, that I think is pretty much understood when you use a tray.
